Roller Coasters, Sunday Visits, and Wonderful Families...

School is starting for most people all over.  School has yet to start for me.  Peter isn't on track this fall, so he's just focusing on work for now.  With the stresses of moving, work, and getting everything ready in time for school, we were looking for a way to let loose and get away for a little bit.

A few years ago, my family has started a tradition, where before school starts, the Visser family goes on a day trip to the famous Utah amusement park, LAGOON.  I can't even remember the last time I went to Lagoon, and every time my family would go, I couldn't because of school.  But this year, Peter and I could finally find time to go!  We were actually pretty excited to go because we have never experienced Lagoon day with my family.  While we missed not seeing Cassie and Daniel at Lagoon, we were able to experience Lagoon day with our cousin Jake, and my brother's cute new fiance, Cambri.

As you can see on some of the pictures, I didn't enjoy some of the rides, but we still had a blast, loved seeing my family,  and we are very much looking forward to Visser Lagoon day next year!

Of course we couldn't be in the neighborhood and not visit Peter's family as well!  Sunday, we went to church with Christie and Tyler and their family as well as Drew and Jessica and had some great food made by Christie.  After eating, we were very tired and most of us tried to stay awake during the movie 'E.T.' with the young ones.

We don't see Peter's family as much but it's always fun to have them around.  I loved getting to know Christie and Jessica more when the men were off doing whatever men do, and it was fun to hang out with my new nieces and nephews.  (and yes, Jessica, I stole these pictures off of your blog.  Please forgive me.)

We are both so blessed to be a part of wonderful families!  I love seeing my family at home and I love getting to know my 'new' family as well.  They are great!  I'm glad that some of the Barnes family members have moved closer to Utah so that we can see them more and I hope we see those that are a bit farther away really soon.
