Reunited and it feels so good!

After two and a half months of being apart, I finally got on a plane and traveled down south to meet Peter!

The white thing is a cloud.  The blue thing is the sky.  It was beautiful.

Hello Atlanta!

After spending a couple of days relaxing with Peter's parents, I was pleasantly surprised by seeing Peter a day earlier than he said he would.  I tell you what, nothing feels better than having Peter back at arms length!
The next few days were awesome!  One of those days was when Peter took me to Coca-Cola World.  I didn't really think a place like that existed but it does, it was awesome, and I must say, the place does a really good job at making colossal amounts of sugar, caffeine, and corn syrup desirable and good for people.

This is the vault where the secret Coca-Cola recipe is kept.  I was kind of tempted to try and open it, but there was special Coca-Cola security ready to pounce at anyone that would act on that impulse.
After having a fun weekend in Atlanta, we headed back to North Carolina, where Peter was staying with some generous friends of his grandparents.  I couldn't wait to see where he was staying the past couple of months and to finally see where he was working.  I was so happy that he didn't have to be lonely anymore after work.

You don't see giant peaches like this out west!

Call me a cheeseball, I don't care! I really wanted a picture of him with his cool intern badge!
Conference weekend was coming up and we decided to take the trip and go spend that weekend with Drew and his very pregnant wife, Jessie (not pregnant now! Welcome to the world, Naomi! You make an adorable baby!) and I was also excited to finally meet Papa and Grandmother Barnes!  After almost three years, I finally met them and it's safe to say that they are amazing people.  They make it so easy to love them! Chris, Annette, and Katie also met up with us for conference and it was a lot of fun playing games and exploring the area.
While exploring, we came upon an old graveyard and created a new reptile friend hanging out by the tombstones.

Sorry Drew and Jessie, I had to steal the from your blog.  I had to show a picture of me holding a lizard for the FIRST TIME EVER!

After letting the poor thing go, we went exploring around the lake and a playground behind Papa and Grandmother's property.  We had fun skipping stones, catching little frogs, swinging, and making dams from little streams.

(I had to resort to my old habit of taking some photos from Drew and Jessie's blog.  What can I say? They take good photos!)

After Conference, we headed back for Peter's last week on his internship.  After the internship, we packed up, said goodbye to our great landlords and new friends,  and headed back to Atlanta to spend a few days with Peter's family before we headed back to Utah.  One of those days was spent in the Georgia Aquarium.  I was so excited!  I heard good things about this aquarium and I couldn't wait to see it.  I'm happy to say that it exceeded my expectations:)

I was so excited to see the otters!!!

The day before we were left, Annette, Peter, and I went for a little walk through a pretty little park.  We didn't know that it was going to rain on us as we were going through the park, but with the beautiful scenery and the great company,  it was worth getting a little wet.  It was the perfect way to end our southern trip.

This tree reminded me of my little brother...not sure why...

While Peter is glad that his internship is over, I know he loved living down south again, even if it was only for a little bit.  I could sense him being a little sad to leave and, to be honest, I was pretty sad to leave too.  And leaving to come back to Idaho to work at McDonald's made it even more upsetting for me to leave.  We can't wait to go back to create many more memories down there!

But, for now, we need to get ready to celebrate in Utah.  We've got a Visser family wedding to get to!
