General Conference and Moving Boxes

Conference weekend seemed like such a blur to me. I love Conference weekend but unfortunately I couldn't see all of it this time, due to work:( I missed all of Saturday's session cause I worked all day that day but Sunday was a good day. Our good friends Brighton and Brett Brooksby invited us to enjoy Sunday's session at their place. So, that morning, we brought our friend James, as well as some ingredients to make crepes to the Brooksby's to enjoy good food and good company before listening to inspired church leaders.

The company. James, Brett, and Brighton:)

Not a very flattering photo of me, but this was the best picture of us we could get that day.

The end of conference marked the beginning of our packing adventures. Our friends Amy and Hermes are moving to Alaska for the summer and needs someone to stay at their place so that they don't have to pay rent on an empty house. Fortunately, our lease goes up in the apartment the same time they're leaving and so we agreed to move there. Our living room is a giant mess and with finals and work going on, it's hard to find time to pack.

As excited as I am to be moving to this nice new place, I am a little sad to be leaving our first, little home. It's been a great, homey place and I've enjoyed all the memories we've made in it. Changes are a gift and a curse in my eyes. I don't like change very much but it is one of life's little necessities that must happen in order to grow and improve. I'm going to try the best that I can to not be too sentimental when I leave Draper Oaks, but I'm not going to make any promises.
