Delightful Weather with an Exhilarated Dog

Conference weekend is always a fun weekend.  I love hearing inspired talks from inspired men, eating junk food, cuddling up with the husband in my pajamas, and the weather always seems to be a little bit better during Conference weekend.  Sunday was no exception.

Unfortunately I had to work on Saturday, so I missed that session.  But luckily, I was given Sunday off; so instead of waking up to get my work clothes on, I woke up to the wonderful aroma of eggs, sausage, and biscuits made by Peter.  The breakfast tasted as well as it smelled and after the last bit of it was finished, we turned on lds.org (a little weird for us since we could just flip a channel back out West), and let the Mormon Tabernacle Choir fill our small apartment with some sweet hymns.

During the break between the third and fourth session, our bellies were full, Murphy was getting anxious, and the weather was perfect.  We couldn't pass up the opportunity to walk through our favorite Davenport trail before the last session started.
Murphy wholeheartedly agreed.

We became very excited to see signs of Spring in the air.  A few hours later, however, our excitement was dampened by a bit of rain.
Shortly after the rainstorm however, it warmed up a bit again, and we got a friendly reminder from Heavenly Father that warm weather will come soon enough.

I love Conference.  I love the spiritual boost it gives me.  It makes me look at the next few weeks a little differently and my heart fills with gratitude for everything I have in my life.

I can't wait for Conference to come again.  Six months can't come soon enough.
